Job Objectives:
To lead and develop business training and development initiatives across Asia markets (excluding China), ensuring alignment with regional strategies and business priorities. This role will take ownership of training programs, including but not limited to: enhance Employee Onboarding Experience (EOE), leadership development, and sales capability enhancement, driving employee productivity and business impact.
Key responsibilities:
This role is sole-contributor role and focuses on aligning training with business goals, driving innovation in learning and incubating a strong culture of development.
1. Lead Business Training & Development for Asia markets (excluding China):
- Develop and execute training strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Implement scalable training programs tailored to the specific needs of Asia markets.
- Partner with the Global Business Training & Development team to co-create and localize global programs.
2. Lead the Employee Onboarding Experience (EOE):
- Review, re-design and refine onboarding programs for new hires.
- Deliver engaging and interactive onboarding experiences that accelerate time-to-productivity.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align onboarding with global standards while adapting to local market nuances.
3. Technical & Operational Training:
- Organize workshops and hands-on technical training for field service teams.
4. Curriculum Design & Facilitation:
- Develop cutting-edge educational programs using mixed media, emerging technologies, and collaborative learning approaches.
- Leverage advanced facilitation skills to create engaging learning environments that foster collaboration and drive meaningful discussions.
5. Performance Monitoring & Data-Driven Insights:
- Conduct learning needs analyses to identify leadership and sales capability gaps.
- Implement robust evaluation processes to assess training effectiveness and impact.
- Use data-driven insights to optimize training outcomes and align initiatives with business goals.
- Implement systems for feedback collection, reflection, and programme improvement.
- Track training outcomes and participant engagement to guide future enhancements.
6. Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:
- Work closely with Sales, HR, and Product Management teams to tailor training needs.
- Liaise with Groz-Beckert representatives to incorporate the latest industry developments.
- Balance global training frameworks with East Asia and China market-specific needs.
7. Operational & Project Management Excellence:
- Oversee the full program lifecycle, from needs assessment to design, implementation, and evaluation.
- Ensure initiatives are delivered with operational excellence and drive business impact.
Key Requirements:
- Proficiency in spoken and written English & Mandarin.
- Proven experience in designing, delivering, and scaling effective training programs across multiple functions, with a focus on sales, technical, and leadership development.
- Experience managing training initiatives in East Asia or China markets, with the ability to balance global learning frameworks and local market nuances.
- Demonstrated success in building and leading onboarding programs that accelerate time-to-productivity and support employee integration in fast-paced, multicultural environments.
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles, and blended learning methodologies. Skilled in using mixed media, collaborative learning, and emerging technologies to drive engagement.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation abilities. Capable of delivering engaging, high-impact training sessions to diverse and cross-functional audiences.
- Proficient in Learning Management Systems (LMS), e-learning platforms, and virtual collaboration tools (e.g., Articulate, Adobe Captivate, MS Teams).
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to use training metrics and performance data to evaluate program effectiveness and continuously improve learning outcomes.
- Skilled in project management, able to plan, execute, and oversee multiple training initiatives simultaneously while ensuring operational excellence.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and collaborate across functions, including HR, Sales, Product, and external partners. Influences stakeholders to align on learning priorities and strategy.
Education level:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Learning & Development, Education, or a related discipline, or:
- A postgraduate qualification or professional certification in L&D, instructional design, or talent development is a plus.
