Main Purpose: The Learning & Development Specialist for APAC will be responsible for supporting the execution of APAC L&D deliverables. This role works closely with the Global Talent Management Team, Functional Heads, HR Regional & Opcos team to further improve and enhance the quality of training & training materials to create impact across the brand's value chain. This includes governance and management of E-learning platforms, collaboration with external and internal trainers, L&D operations, and HR/Retail HRBP trainers. This role is an opportunity for an entrepreneurial, passionate, and collaborative individual to roll up their sleeves and help implement best practices and quality content of L&D strategies to drive an engaging culture across the APAC region, hence making a positive impact in the region business as a leading footwear brand & manufacturer.

Core Accountabilities:

1. Genesis Training Program: To work with relevant stakeholders such as Retail & HR Heads, District Managers, Store Managers etc to implement a revised Genesis program for training retail staff. This person needs to understand the current content, what is the execution flow, what are the gaps, the development needs, the capability level of the staff.

2. Building training for Merchandising / Retail DMs: Creation of Training Calendar for the L&D Program in APAC and work with Merchandising & Retail heads to derive a training plan and workflow to enhance the development of existing / new Merchandisers and Retail District Managers.

3. Emerging Leader Training Support: Submit proposal on event agenda, program flow, dates and venue of training program. Creates Pre-workshop sessions to understand development needs for nominated participants. Works with external trainers and functional heads to ensure content of development areas and functional knowledge are being curated and delivered. Ensures training venues and arrangements are made promptly keeping costs within APAC L&D budget.

4. Talent Express Program: Implement Talent Xpress 2.0 program for 2024, Actively communicates with relevant stakeholders & HR heads to ensure project scope and nominees are smoothly executed, Provides interview sessions to select the right calibre, conducts constant check-in sessions and follow-up to ensure objectives of project scope are met.

5. Skillsoft: Work closely with Global talent management team to ensure completion of Bata E-University (BEU) e-learning courses that were assigned by respective HODs are completed within the given timeframe. Attends Cadence calls to understand new updates on BEU and 360 assessment (if any), to address technical issues and to work with the relevant consultant or GTM team to ensure due completion of the relevant L&D programs.

6. Any other duties assigned by supervisor from time to time.

. HR Operating Companies Leaders (Based in China, Bangladesh, Malaysia, Indonesia, Pakistan, Singapore and Thailand)

. External Vendors (Tier 1 & 2)

. Regional Functional Heads (Collections, FA2A, Finance, HQ, Marketing, etc)

Desired Skills & Experience:

. 2-3+ years of relevant experience, ideally working in ideally Footwear or Apparel operations.

. Highly advantageous in ever worked in Regional Office environment.

. Bachelor's / College degree and advanced degree required in a related field (Business, HR, etc.), or equivalent professional experience in lieu.

. Motivated self-starter, with the ability to work both independently as well as collaboratively with a team-player mindset. Ability to work resourcefully at developing programs/functions and teams.

. Entrepreneurial, roll up your sleeves attitude.

. Excellent project management skills with the ability to multi-task

. Strong written and verbal communication skills

. Highly developed PowerPoint and Excel skills

. Proficiency in analyzing and synthesizing quantitative data.
