Job Overview
The Learning & Development Intern will support the design, development, and maintenance of learning content and resources across L&D programs. This role will also assist with program coordination, tracking, and administrative activities to ensure smooth execution and continuous improvement of learning initiatives.
Job Responsibilities
The intern will assist and participate in the following tasks:
- Design and develop engaging learning content (e.g., presentations, digital assets, job aids, and learning resources) to support L&D programs and enhance the learner experience.
- Support learning analytics and reporting efforts by collecting, organizing, and analyzing program data (e.g., participation, completion, feedback) to generate insights and recommendations.
- Assist with the operational execution of L&D programs, including scheduling, coordination, materials preparation, and learner communications.
- Maintain and manage learning content and data within learning platforms and repositories, ensuring information is accurate, up to date, and easily accessible.
- Use judgment to identify opportunities for content, data, and process improvements, making recommendations that support continuous improvement of L&D programs.
Qualifications
Experience
- Prior internship, academic coursework, school projects, or volunteer experience related to learning design, training, analytics, HR, or program coordination is preferred but not required.
- Experience in creating presentations, digital content, or working with data for school or project assignments is an advantage.
Education
Currently pursuing a diploma or higher qualification in Human Resources, Education, Business, Psychology, Communications, or a related field.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
- Coursework or short certifications related to instructional design, learning analytics, digital design, human resources, or project management are a plus.
- Online learning certificates (e.g., LinkedIn Learning, Coursera, Udemy) are beneficial but not mandatory.
Computer Skills Needed To Perform This Job
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
- Basic to intermediate proficiency in AI tools (ChatGPT).
- Exposure to design, learning or analytics tools (e.g. Canva, data visualization tools) is an advantage.
