Job Description

We are looking for a Lean Construction Engineer to join our growing team.

This is a hands-on, site-based role for a construction professional who wants to develop into a Lean Construction Consultant. You will work directly with main contractors, specialist contractors, project managers, planners, supervisors and trade partners to improve planning reliability, workflow and project delivery on live construction sites.

What you will do

Support the implementation of Lean Construction practices on live building and infrastructure projects.

Facilitate Pull Planning, Last Planner System (LPS), Lookahead Planning, Weekly Work Planning, Daily Huddles and continuous-improvement activities.

Work closely with site teams to identify constraints, improve handovers and strengthen workflow reliability.

Support planning and problem-solving workshops with project managers, engineers, planners, supervisors and subcontractors.

Help teams translate Lean principles into practical, site-ready ways of working.

Contribute to project assessments, training programmes and wider Lean transformation initiatives.

Progressively develop the ability to lead workshops, coach project teams and engage clients independently.

What we are looking for

At least 4-6 years of hands-on, site-based experience in building or infrastructure projects, gained with a main contractor, specialist contractor or construction management team.

Experience across multiple project stages or construction sites is strongly preferred.

Comfortable working regularly on live construction sites and engaging directly with project teams, supervisors and subcontractors.

A practical understanding of construction sequencing, site coordination and project delivery.

Interest in Lean Construction, collaborative planning and production improvement.

Hands-on experience with the Last Planner System (LPS) is highly preferred knowledge of Takt Planning is a strong advantage.

Experience in PPVC, DfMA, productivity improvement, BIM or planning tools such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project or Navisworks will be an advantage.

Strong communication, facilitation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust across different stakeholders.

Self-motivated, curious and willing to learn through hands-on project work.
