We're working with a rapidly growing global gaming company as they scale up their Singapore office.
Responsibilities
- Design and own the overall game client architecture, ensuring high performance, scalability, and maintainability
- Lead technical design and development processes for the client, collaborating closely with game design, art, and cross-functional teams
- Develop and optimize core systems (e.g., resource management, UI framework, physics, gameplay systems), ensuring smooth multi-platform performance
- Take ownership of combat system development, including architecture, implementation, and optimization
- Solve complex technical challenges such as performance optimization, memory management, and gameplay logic
- Act as a technical leader, mentoring team members and driving engineering best practices
- Work closely with designers and artists to deliver high-quality features aligned with product vision
- Manage client-side development, including task planning, execution, and code quality ownership
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science or a related field
- 5+ years of Unity (U3D) development experience in the game industry
- Proven experience as a core contributor / lead developer on at least one shipped game
- Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and design patterns
- Proficient in C# with solid software engineering practices
- Deep understanding of the Unity engine, including rendering, resource management, UI systems, physics, and animation
- Hands-on experience building core gameplay systems (especially combat systems) — not limited to tooling or peripheral features
- Strong problem-solving skills, logical thinking, and effective communication
- Mandarin is required due to the need to communicate with Mandarin speaking clients and counterparts
