The Lead UI/UX Designer co-leads the Design team on projects that include all UI/UX components, including but not limited to pre-sales activities, and to manage and handle design proposals and effort estimation in pre-sales activities, and also manages external design partners/freelancers working on the projects.
The role of the Lead UI/UX Designer is to advocate and evangelize UX within the organization and beyond, raising awareness and appreciation of the value and impact of user-centered design. A Lead UI/UX Designer have to educate and influence our clients, managers, and other stakeholders on the benefits and best practices of UX design, and demonstrate how it can improve their products, services, and processes.
What will you do
- Lead a team of UI/UX designers, providing direction, guidance, and feedback on design projects
- Define and implement UI/UX design standards, processes, and best practices across the organization
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop product roadmaps, strategies, and design solutions
- Manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and project milestones
- Conduct design reviews, provide constructive feedback to team members, and ensure design quality and consistency
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and innovations in UI/UX design, and incorporate them into design projects
- Advocate for user-centered design principles and ensure that designs meet user needs, business goals, and brand guidelines
- Utilize exceptional presentation skills to effectively communicate design concepts, strategies, and rationale to executives and stakeholders
- Excel in selling designs by highlighting their impact, value proposition, and alignment with business objectives.
What are we looking for
- Expertise in information architecture, user testing, and creating highly detailed design specifications
- Expert at Figma, Sketch, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and/or other design applications
- Good leadership quality
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Degree in design-related field or equivalent experience
- At least 6 years experience in UI/UX design
