The job of an academic and a lead in student development is challenging and meaningful. Not only will he/she have both the knowledge and working experience, he/she must also possess a passion for working with youths, nurturing them, and moulding their characters. He/she will be focusing on School of Business (SB) student life, with overall student development strategy, event planning and execution and managing of the school's student leadership club.

Administrative work related to teaching and School/Cluster/Institutional strategic initiatives will be an important part of the job too. Successful candidates will be expected to have a growth mind-set, and be adaptable to the ever-changing industry landscape, both in the domain industry as well as the education sector. He/she is also expected to demonstrate resourcefulness and innovation with forward-looking initiatives.

The appointee must also be competent to teach in areas of marketing and digital marketing in SB.

[What you will be working on]

Responsibilities:

  • Support and lead in the planning, coordination, and execution of student development programmes, leadership initiatives, camps, outreach activities, and other school events across the Business & The Creatives (BC) cluster.
  • Mentor and work closely with student leaders of the student club to drive student engagement, community involvement, and student-led initiatives.
  • Coordinate student talent development initiatives, including scholarships, awards, mentoring programmes, wellness initiatives, and overseas leadership programme.
  • Manage programme administration, logistics, budgeting, stakeholder liaison, documentation, and operational matters to ensure smooth execution.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to enhance student experience and support continuous improvement initiatives within the BC Student Development team.
  • Deliver engaging and impactful learning experiences for both Pre-Employment Training (PET) and Continuing Education and Training (CET) learners.
  • Manage teaching-related administration, including lesson preparation, assessment coordination, and quality assurance processes.
  • Provide holistic support, coaching, and pastoral care to students.

[What we are looking for]

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of relevant working experience.
  • Relevant qualifications in Business/Marketing/Digital Marketing/Communications or equivalent.
  • Strong passion in mentoring students and show genuine concern for their development.
  • A strong team player with good communication skills.
  • Prior experience in digital/social media marketing, communication campaigns and/or event management is preferred.
  • Experience in working with or mentoring youths/young adults, leading or managing a student club (or equivalent) is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in relevant digital and business tools such as (1) Content creation tools (e.g. Adobe Photoshop, Canva) and (2) Microsoft Excel and other productivity / business tools.
  • Experience in cross-functional stakeholder management

Successful candidate will be offered a 2-year contract in the first instance.
