Experience: 10-15+ years in the telecommunications industry, with at least 5 years in a senior RAN architecture or technical leadership role.
RAN Expertise: Deep, authoritative knowledge of 4G/5G RAN architecture, 3GPP standards, call flows, and key procedures.
O-RAN Specialization (Must-Have): Proven experience with the O-RAN Alliance architecture, specifically the 7.2x fronthaul split, and a strong understanding of CU/DU functions, F1/E1/A1/E2 interfaces, and the role of the SMO and RIC.
Hands-on Troubleshooting: Demonstrable experience using protocol analyzers (Wireshark, etc.), log analysis tools, and performance monitoring systems to solve complex RAN problems.
Client-Facing Gravitas: Exceptional communication and presentation skills. Ability to remain calm, articulate, and credible in high-pressure client situations.
Nice to Have:
Direct experience with competitor vRAN solutions (Mavenir, Rakuten/Altiostar, Samsung), scripting skills (Python), and familiarity with Telco Cloud platforms (Kubernetes, OpenStack).
