Lead Software Engineer (Python, Systematic Trading)

Roles & Responsibilities

As a Lead Software Engineer, you will drive significant business impact by applying deep

technical expertise to solve complex challenges spanning multiple technologies. Your key

responsibilities include:

• Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance, direction, and mentorship to internal engineering teams, contractors, and vendors.
• Development & Code Quality: Design and develop secure, high-quality production code, while conducting rigorous code reviews and debugging to maintain high standards.
• Strategic Decision-Making: Influence product design, application functionality, and technical operations/processes across the function.
• Subject Matter Expertise: Act as a function-wide SME in your core technical areas and advocate for firmwide SDLC frameworks, tools, and best practices.
• Innovation & Culture: Inspire peers and stakeholders to adopt leading-edge technologies while fostering a team culture rooted in diversity, inclusion, and mutual respect.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline.
• A minimum of 7+ years of software engineering experience, with a proven track record in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Expert-level proficiency in Python across the entire software delivery lifecycle (designing, coding, testing, and deployment).
• Advanced knowledge of software applications, technical processes, and cloud-native architectures.
• Deep expertise in one or more modern technical disciplines (e.g., Cloud, AI/ML, Mobile, etc.).
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex design and functional challenges independently with minimal oversight.
