Lead Software Engineer - Institutional Digital Assets Firm

Backed by leading financial institutions and strategic technology partners, they are at the forefront of enabling institutional participation in tokenized assets and building the infrastructure that bridges traditional finance with the digital asset ecosystem.

Role

As Lead Software Engineer, you will spearhead the architecture and delivery of institutional-grade platforms for tokenized asset management. You will drive technical strategy, lead engineering initiatives, and mentor development teams in building scalable, secure solutions that reduce friction and costs for institutional clients. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring both deep technical expertise and the ability to translate business requirements into robust engineering solutions. You will take ownership of platform design, guide integration with blockchain networks and traditional financial infrastructure, and ensure production excellence across cloud-based systems. Occasional out-of-hours support may be required.

Requirements

We seek a degree-qualified engineer with strong Java expertise and demonstrable blockchain/cryptocurrency knowledge, particularly in wallet technologies and public blockchain protocols. A proven track record in enterprise web application development is essential, alongside secure coding practices, GitHub proficiency, and cloud deployment experience. The ideal candidate will bring leadership capability-whether formal or informal-in guiding technical teams through agile methodologies. Strong preference will be given to candidates with TypeScript/React experience, Azure cloud expertise, CI/CD with Kubernetes, and Python proficiency, coupled with deep understanding of crypto financial services including staking, DeFi, and ZK-rollups.
