As a lead a/senior engineer, your primary responsibility will be to lead/participate in the creation of new products and enhancements to existing products from requirement to launch as part of a cross functional team involved in the development of equipment control and automation SW.
Key Responsibilities
1. Design & Development
- Design, develop, test, and maintain software solutions for new features, enhancements, and defect fixes
- Translate product and customer requirements into reliable, efficient technical solutions
- Apply sound engineering principles and adhere to established standards, processes, and best practices
2. Technical Problem Solving
- Troubleshoot complex software and system-level issues across application, OS, and hardware layers
- Perform structured root cause analysis and drive end to end issue resolution
- Collaborate with hardware, firmware, and platform teams to resolve integrated system challenges
3. Execution & Delivery
- Participate in end to end product development from requirements through release
- Ensure timely delivery with high quality and adherence to commitments
- Provide clear status updates and proactively communicate risks and issues
4. Technical Leadership
- Guide team members toward successful technical outcomes and high-quality deliverables
- Mentor and support engineers through design discussions, reviews, and knowledge sharing
- Manage escalations effectively and operate in high-pressure situations
5. Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
- Work closely with global, cross-functional teams and stakeholders
- Communicate effectively with internal and external partners on technical issues and solutions
- Contribute to broader organizational initiatives and team objectives
Qualifications & Experience
- 5-12 years of software development experience
- Strong background in industrial automation and/or supervisory control systems
- Experience in product software development and system-level applications
- Proficiency in C/C++ on Windows platforms using Microsoft technologies
- Strong foundation in computer science (data structures, algorithms, OS concepts)
Additional Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
- Experience working with global teams and stakeholders
- Exposure to hardware integrated or system level applications
- Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, EtherCAT, DeviceNet) is a plus
- Self-driven with strong learning agility and ability to work independently
Travel
- Work may involve travel to US and other Asian countries (up to 10% of the time)
