About the Role
We are seeking an experienced social work leader to oversee casework, counselling, groupwork, and community work, while driving strategic initiatives and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Casework & Counselling
- Implement tools and templates to guide case assessment
- Monitor team compliance with professional processes
- Represent the Centre in advocacy efforts for vulnerable families
- Establish platforms for knowledge dissemination of best practices
Groupwork & Community Work
- Steer strategic initiatives for alignment with cluster strategies
Supervisory Duties
- Guide supervisors in supporting their supervisees self-assessment
- Assess staff capabilities, identify growth areas, and build training roadmaps
Leadership Duties
- Participate in sector-level discussions and lead change implementation
- Communicate vision and motivate the team
- Co-construct and implement employee development strategies
Operational Skills
- Support implementation of operational protocols and policies
- Oversee emergency response and crisis management tools
- Lead changes to support trauma-informed, developmentally sensitive practices
Other Duties
- Undertake any other duties assigned by the Head of Centre
Requirements
- Degree in Social Work, Counselling, or Psychology from an accredited institution
- At least 5-10 years of relevant social work experience
- Strong networking skills with government agencies and community partners
- Knowledge of SASW Code of Ethics and Code of Practice
- Ability to lead and manage a team of social workers
- Willing to conduct home visits when necessary
