Job Summary
The Lead / Senior Process Engineer will be responsible for process design, engineering execution, and technical leadership of packaged compressor systems including Reciprocating, Screw, Vane, Centrifugal, and Liquid Ring compressors. The role involves preparation and review of process deliverables, safety studies, equipment sizing, vendor coordination, and client interface to ensure compliant, safe, and optimized package design. Role also requires to lead Junior Process Engineers and review their calculations and documentations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Junior Process Engineers review Client specs and develop of PFDs, P&IDs, Process Design Basis, control philosophy, and cause & effect diagrams, settle out calculations, blowdown calculations etc.
- Perform process calculations, including compressor selection and frame sizing, pump sizing, line sizing, and utility requirement estimation.
- Define process requirements and datasheet for compressor auxiliaries such as scrubbers, separators, coolers, lube oil systems, seal systems and utilities.
- Lead and participate in HAZOP / HAZID / design review meetings and ensure timely closure of actions.
- Review and approve vendor documents, datasheets, calculations, and drawings support purchasing bid evaluations.
- Act as Process Lead for assigned projects, coordinating with other Discipline Leads (mechanical, piping, instrumentation, electrical, and structural etc)
- Interface with clients and vendors during engineering, FAT, and project execution phases.
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and client specifications.
- Support preparation of operating philosophies, manuals, and start-up / shutdown documentation.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering.
- 5 - 10 years of experience in process engineering of compressor packages, EPC, OEM, or packaged equipment industry.
- Proven experience working as Senior / Lead Process Engineer on skid or modular systems
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of Process systems, Rotating equipments and its auxiliaries systems.
- Experience in PFD & P&ID development, sizing calculations, and safety studies.
- Familiarity with API, ASME, ISO and relevant international standards.
- Experience with process simulations tools (e.g., HYSYS, UNISIM)
