Roles & Responsibilities
- Mapping: Architect and build sensor fusion pipelines for 2D/3D map construction, covering map merging and continuous lifelong map maintenance.
- Localization: Engineer robust, real-time localization solutions that support sustained, long-term autonomous robot operation.
- Deployment: Profile and optimize perception algorithms for ARM-based embedded platforms, ensuring deterministic real-time performance.
- Mentorship: Drive technical design reviews and guide junior engineers in engineering best practices, including Modern C++ and ROS2.
Requirements & Qualifications
- At least 3 years of hands-on industry experience in robotics, with a focus on Mapping and Localization.
- Deep proficiency in at least one of the following modalities: LiDAR-based Mapping/Localization — 2D or 3D LiDAR systems & Vision-based Mapping/Localization — Monocular, Stereo, or RGB-D cameras
- Mathematical Foundation: Solid grounding in linear algebra, probability theory, and nonlinear optimization techniques.
- Software Skills: Modern C++ (14/17/20), strong hands-on experience with ROS/ROS2
- Working proficiency in Python for scripting and data analysis
- Real-World Robustness: Demonstrated ability to diagnose and resolve challenging edge cases, including glass surfaces, featureless corridors, and highly dynamic environments to maintain stable, reliable operation.
