Job Summary
Lead and manage a multidisciplinary site team to deliver water infrastructure projects, ensuring quality, timely project delivery and effective stakeholder coordination.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate a multidisciplinary site team, including Construction Manager, Contracts Manager, Resident Engineers, Technical Officers, Quantity Surveyors, Safety Officer, and BIM Modeller, to achieve project goals.
- Develop, communicate, and implement the Water Strategy in collaboration with the Project Director/Project Manager to guide project management.
- Plan project delivery by scheduling time and manpower for Resident Site Staff to meet project timelines and resource needs.
- Resolve contractual issues related to the project by analysing contract terms and negotiating solutions with stakeholders.
- Lead meetings with clients, contractors, authorities, and stakeholders to address technical, progress, contractual, and permitting matters, ensuring alignment and issue resolution.
- Coordinate reviews between Head Office, Design team, and Resident Site Staff to ensure quality and timely completion of deliverables.
- Apply problem-solving skills to resolve site issues, critical defects, and punch list rectifications with support from the technical team.
- Take accountability for the site team's performance and represent the Client in all project-related matters, maintaining professional client relations.
Required competencies and certifications
- Possess a university engineering degree (Civil) recognised by the Professional Engineers Board, Singapore.
- Demonstrate a minimum of 15 years of relevant engineering experience in the study, design, and construction of water infrastructure plant projects, preferably water treatment plants with about 40 million imperial gallons per day (migd) treatment capacity.
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Exhibit strong leadership and supervisory skills with proven experience leading a group of Resident Site Staff.
