Lead Quality Control Analyst (Chemistry, 12 Hours Rotating Shift)

Our client is an established player in the Chemical Manufacturing industry seeking a Lead QC Analyst to anchor their laboratory operations on Jurong Island. This is a hands-on role for someone who takes pride in analytical rigour and thrives in a dynamic, shift-based environment.

The Role

You'll be the go-to authority in the QC lab, owning everything from routine analysis to complex investigations and stepping up as the lab lead outside of core hours.

• Perform routine and non-routine QC analysis across raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products
• Interpret results independently and make sound decisions to support process control
• Take full ownership of laboratory operations during off-hours shifts
• Lead short-term projects including non-routine testing and customer complaint investigations
• Maintain equipment calibration and ensure the lab runs at peak condition
• Liaise cross-functionally to uphold quality and compliance standards
• Mentor and onboard new analysts, building a stronger team around you

What You Bring

• Degree in Chemistry or a related discipline
• Minimum 2 years of QC experience in a laboratory setting, preferably within chemicals or a related process industry
• Solid grasp of quality management systems and laboratory best practices
• Sharp analytical thinking with high attention to detail
• Self-driven and confident working independently on rotating 12-hour shifts
• Clear, professional communication - both written and verbal
