Job Description

  • Supervise a team to perform distribution duties, including picking, packing, and put-away of materials and parts, data entry, and support cycle counts.
  • Be responsible for the Traffic desk and generate pick tickets.
  • Collaborate closely with internal and external customers to resolve distribution issues.
  • Ensure that equipment, freezers, and MHE are accurately maintained, engaging suppliers for support whenever necessary.
  • Plan workforce and resource allocation to meet operational demands.
  • Ensure On-Time Delivery (OTD) is strictly achieved and maintained.
  • Serve as the Solution Desk to identify root causes and resolve issue
  • Problem orders affecting picking (e.g., parts not found, batch mismatches with pick lists).
  • System transactions or material errors encountered by packers.
  • Material allocation changes, including updates to bin numbers.
  • Liaison activities with internal customers for optimal service.
  • Urgent order requests from customer care.
  • Responding to and attending audit requirements.
  • Leading and collaborating with supporting departments to resolve issues and improve work processes using the Practical Process Improvement (PPI) approach.
  • Interacting with cross-functional support areas to resolve issues affecting incoming materials.
  • Updating regular operational reports for the department.

Compliance and Safety

  • Participate in ISO, EHS, 5S, and QSR activities, ensuring compliance with all requirements related to environmental, safety, material handling, storage, precautions, and proper attire.
  • Ensure that systems and procedures within the department align with ISO 9001, ISO 13485, MDSAP, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 22301 standards.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a logistics or distribution role, with a focus on transportation/shipping.
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of successfully supervising and motivating teams.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external collaborators.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
  • Knowledge of ISO standards and compliance practices.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in data entry and inventory management systems.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
