We are seeking a highly skilled and technically competent Lead, Manufacturing Technician to support our advanced manufacturing operations in precision laser and optics production. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in driving process stability, supporting engineering teams, and ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality laser/optical components and assemblies. This position requires strong technical aptitude, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced, highly regulated manufacturing environment.
. Perform end-to-end tasks for manufacturing operations, including complex setup, calibration, alignment, rework, and quality testing of laser modules, optical components, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies.
. Utilize advanced software and equipment to collect, interpret, and analyze operating data to make real-time adjustments to laser systems, optical instruments, or automated equipment.
. Collaborate with process and manufacturing engineers to develop, refine, and document methods and procedures that enhance control and efficiency in laser/optical manufacturing processes.
. Support engineering experiments, optical alignment trials, and new process validation activities.
. Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve production abnormalities related to optics handling, laser performance, contamination control, and mechanical assembly issues.
. Drive improvements in production yield, scrap reduction, and Out-of-Box Quality (OBQ) for laser and optical assemblies.
. Contribute Kaizen proposals and actively participate in Small Group Activities (SGA) to support continuous process improvement and operational excellence.
. Participate in 6S activities to maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment, with strict adherence to cleanroom and optical-surface handling standards.
. Minimum Diploma in Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, Laser Technology, or related field, with at least 4 years of relevant experience in manufacturing, precision assembly, optics, or laser-related production.
. Comfortable working in a cleanroom environment and strictly following manufacturing, EHS, and optical-handling procedures.
. Demonstrated commitment to good housekeeping, contamination control, and workplace safety.
. Hands-on experience with mechanical sub-assemblies, precision alignment, soldering, or handling optical components and chemical cleaning solutions.
. Ability to manage and prepare chemical solutions used in optical and parts cleaning processes.
. Strong attention to detail, good documentation practices, and ability to work in a high-precision environment.
. Flexibility to work shift hours.
