I am partnering with a leading, future-ready financial institution in Singapore that is undergoing a massive technology transformation. They are looking for a deeply technical Lead Infrastructure Architect (Network & Cloud Infrastructure) to take ownership of their hybrid infrastructure foundations across on-prem datacenters and public cloud environments.
This isn't just an ivory-tower design role. You will define the target-state architecture and standards while providing hands-on technical oversight - guiding engineering teams, leading PoCs, and driving operational excellence across networking, virtualization, and storage.
What You Will Be Driving:
- Target-State Architecture: Define the roadmap and standards for on-prem and public cloud foundations, incorporating IAC, telemetry, and modern provisioning workflows.
- Cross-Domain Design & Implementation:
- Enterprise Network: Segmentation, routing, firewall zone models, and load balancer patterns.
- Virtualization: Cluster design, capacity policies, HA/live migration, and performance baselines.
- Storage: Tiering, sizing, replication, DR design, and restore validation.
- Public Cloud: Landing zones, identity integration, security segmentation, and on-prem connectivity.
- Technical Leadership: Lead deep-dives on complex, cross-layer incidents (network/compute/storage), turning learnings into automated solutions. Validate production readiness and guide troubleshooting war rooms.
- Stakeholder Alignment: Act as the technical bridge between Platform, Security, Operations, and Delivery teams to ensure consistent, operable outcomes.
What You Bring to the Table:
- 12+ years of enterprise infrastructure experience, with a strong track record of hands-on architecture oversight in production (design, build, and operate).
- Deep L2/L3 Network Troubleshooting: Mastery of BGP (eBGP/iBGP, route filtering, blackholes) and ARP (cache behavior, VIP failover).
- Virtualization Expertise: Deep understanding of VMware, including NUMA/CPU ready time, contention, memory ballooning, and snapshot growth impacts.
- Storage Depth: SAN/NAS/Object Storage fabric concepts, performance sizing (IOPS/latency), MPIO path failures, and disaster recovery.
- Vendor/Tech Stack Experience: Cisco, Juniper, Arista, F5, Palo Alto/Check Point (or equivalent firewalls), and major virtualization/storage platforms.
- Cloud Foundations: Proven ability to design public cloud foundational controls (networking, identity, logging) and integrate them with legacy on-prem environments.
- Good to have: Industry certifications across Networking (CCIE, JNCIE, Arista ACE), Security (PCNSE), Load Balancing (F5), Virtualization (VCAP), or Cloud (CCSP).
