Overview and purpose of the position
Work closely with service leads and business stakeholders to identify roadmap of information technology (IT) solutions and enhancements. The individual will be responsible in one of the specialties: technical support to Radiography InformResponsible to develop and implement IT strategies that align with Diagnostics business goals, leveraging of technological trends to enhance efficiency and streamline processes. The individual shall lead the planning, development and execution of all IT-related workplans and project. This role requires a blend of technical expertise (EPIC modules and other IT systems), leadership acumen, and strategic foresights to drive IT initiatives that can further expand Diagnostics business reach to all potential clients.
Responsibilities

- Responsibilities
- Project Management: Lead and plan new polyclinic instrument IT connectivity, oversee all testing, and ensure timely delivery.
- Cross-department Collaboration: Work with other departments (e.g., for cross-institutional referral of Imaging services, intra- and inter-cluster blood collection workflow) on IT work plans to ensure seamless delivery of services.
- Technology Evaluation: Continuously evaluate emerging technologies and assess their potential application and impact on Diagnostics operations, integrating new solutions where beneficial (e.g., onboarding AI platforms for radiology reporting).
- Change Management: Ensure effective change communication.
- Business as Usual (BAU) IT Activities: Oversee BAU IT activities, ensuring full compliance with GITO requirements, budgeting, and resource management.
- Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other related technical disciplines.
- Project Management or other relevant programme management certification is preferred.
- Certifications in EPIC Beaker and other NGEMR applications.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare (laboratory), with at least 2 years in an IT application specialist-related position.
- Proven track record in leading projects, IT solutioning, and data analysis.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Minimum 3 years of leadership experience. Experience leading teams, stakeholders, projects, and/or functions.

Staff with a keen aptitude in healthcare IT will be considered and appropriate training will be provided.
Main responsibilities:
- Work closely with Reporting Officer in the approval, acquisition and implementation of IT projects.
- Resolve project issues, working with vendors and key stakeholders as required, to ensure the successful implementation of IT projects
- Oversee the planning, directing, supervising, monitoring and coordinating of vendor and department operations, including assigning work activities, projects, evaluate work processes and procedures, preparing correspondences e.g. general and special reports.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize, design, develop and implement IT application features and enhancements, ensuring that system capabilities and process requirements are aligned
- Ensure that the business-as-usual and in-scope IT systems are performing optimally, meeting SLAs and requirements of user stakeholders
Qualification Required and Area of Discipline
- Bachelor's Degree or diploma certificate in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or other related technical disciplines.
- Degree or diploma holders of Radiography or Medical Laboratory Science with keen interest in IT are welcomed to apply
- Literacy in some Information technology disciplines such as fluency in Python and a systems language (Java, Scala, C++) and experience with Oracle database will be advantageous
- Prior working experience in healthcare industry is preferred but not compulsory
- Preferably 1-3 (Analyst) or 3-5 (Senior Analyst) years of relevant experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to learn new specialized IT software tools
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team in a fast-paced environment
