As a Lead Engineer within the Completions and Wellbore Intervention Product Performance team, the primary function is to lead and execute projects to evaluate and improve the performance, cost, and reliability of existing products and services, with a focus on completions equipment. This role is driven by supply chain, quality, reliability, and portfolio management priorities.

The role provides technical guidance on design for manufacture (DFM) and reliability for ongoing projects and supports AMO, category management, and procurement teams in sourcing raw, intermediate, and finished goods.

This position is based in Singapore and works closely with regional manufacturing sites, suppliers, and cross-functional teams across Asia Pacific.

As a Lead Engineer - Downhole Completions, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading the design, analysis, testing, and integration activities required for assigned projects, applying sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards and product requirements.
  • Providing technical leadership and coaching to engineers and technicians supporting assigned projects
  • Developing and execute test plans analyze test data, draw conclusions, and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Leading root cause analysis and failure investigations for completions equipment, identifying and implementing effective corrective actions.
  • Collaborating closely with manufacturing, sourcing, and supplier quality teams to improve product manufacturability, cost, and reliability
  • Advising on design-for-manufacture (DFM) and design-for-reliability (DFR) considerations for new and existing products.
  • Ensuring accurate and timely documentation of technical data in compliance with engineering policies and procedures.
  • Participating in and contribute to technical and program reviews as a presenter or reviewer.


Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have at least Bachelors in mechanical engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience in oilfield equipment engineering.
  • Have a minimum of 6 yr of experience in oilfield equipment, with hands-on exposure to manufacturing, assembly, testing, product performance or reliability engineering roles.
  • Be able to demosntrate experience in failure analysis, root cause investigation, reliability improvement of downhole tools, including resolving complex technical issues with limited data and across cross-functional or field environment.
  • Have understanding of manufacturing processes, tolerances, and design-for-manufacture (DFM) principles.
  • Display proficiency in CAD tools (SolidWorks) for reviewing designs, tolerances, and manufacturing drawings.
  • Have experience working closely with suppliers, sourcing, and manufacturing teams to improve product cost, quality, and delivery
  • Have experience supporting operations within Asia Pacific manufacturing and supply chain environments.
  • Have experience supporting shopfloor, assembly, or test environments with direct interaction with technicians and manufacturing teams.
  • Have ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a project-driven environment.
