Job Summary
As a Lead Engineer at Advanced CAE Pte Ltd, you will lead engineering projects for process analyzer system integration, drive project execution, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to strategic growth in the Engineering Science sector.
Responsibilities
- Break down high-level project requirements into actionable tasks with project managers, providing realistic technical estimates and identifying risks
- Lead and manage engineering teams within the territory, including workload distribution, performance management, coaching, and mentoring of new and junior staff
- Lead design and costing efforts for Analyzer Systems, including Sample Handling Systems, Analyzers, and Racks/Cabinets/Shelters
- Implement engineering processes using best practices, standards, tools, policies, procedures, and templates provided by the company
- Source and evaluate new products such as analyzers and sample system components to enhance project solutions
- Support international projects through collaboration with other offices as needed
- Maintain confidentiality of classified information in compliance with company policies
- Develop engineering and project team members into proficient contributors through leadership and management
- Ensure timely generation, collection, dissemination, storage, and disposition of project information
- Maintain integrity of project and engineering documentation archives according to company procedures
- Conduct post-project reviews and implement lessons learned processes to improve future projects
- Focus on understanding customer needs and solving customer problems to enhance satisfaction
- Provide sales support on engineering issues related to system projects
- Ensure accurate and competitive cost estimation for major system project pursuits
Required competencies and certifications
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- More than 5 years of experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Chemical industries with a strong understanding of analytical products and systems
- Proficiency in English for effective communication
- Ability to work independently with a task-driven, self-motivated, and positive attitude
- Strong teamwork skills, ability to work under pressure, willingness to travel, and flexibility to work long hours to meet deadlines
