Position Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Engineer to join our Engineering team and support the execution of water and wastewater treatment projects local and globally. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Electrical, Instrumentation, Control and Automation Engineering, with extensive experience in EPC project execution. The role requires leadership in engineering design, BIM coordination, environmental compliance, multidisciplinary interfaces, vendor management, and support during construction and commissioning phases. The selected candidate shall lead E&I engineering activities, review and approve engineering deliverables, coordinate with clients and stakeholders, and ensure designs comply with project specifications, applicable regulations, environmental requirements, industry standards, and digital engineering execution plans.
Core Responsibilities and Tasks
- Engineering execution for water and wastewater treatment projects in the USA, Singapore, India .
- Work as Lead E&I Engineer within the Engineering Department, reporting to the Head of E&IA Dept.
- Lead Electrical, Instrumentation, Control and Automation engineering activities through all project phases.
- Develop, review and approve engineering deliverables prepared by internal engineering teams and external consultants.
- Apply engineering procedures and best practices to enhance quality, efficiency, safety, and project execution consistency.
- Ensure engineering deliverables are completed accurately within project schedule and budget requirements.
- Review Basic Design Package received from Process Engineering, Proposal and Sales teams.
- Support preparation and review of P&IDs from E&I perspective.
- Coordinate with Process, Mechanical, Piping, Civil, Structural and Architectural disciplines to ensure successful multidisciplinary design integration.
- Verify compliance with customer specifications, contract requirements and applicable codes and standards.
- Design according to local authority regulations, electrical codes, environmental regulations and client standards.
- Interface with authorities and support engineering approvals where required.
- Lead internal and external design review meetings.
- Participate in HAZOP, HAZID, SIL and risk assessment workshops.
- Support procurement activities including technical bid evaluations and vendor selection.
- Review vendor drawings, datasheets, technical submissions and calculations.
- Participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) and Integrated System Testing activities.
- Support construction, commissioning, startup and plant performance testing.
- Coordinate technical discussions with clients, consultants and project stakeholders.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers and designers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 12-15 years of E&I engineering experience in EPC projects.
- Minimum 5 years experience in a Lead E&I Engineering role.

- Experience coordinating international multidisciplinary engineering projects.
- Familiarity with environmental compliance requirements for water and wastewater facilities.
- Experience in design reviews, FAT, SAT, commissioning and startup support.
- Strong understanding of applicable engineering standards and codes.
