Lead Developer

Brief Summary

We are seeking a Lead Developer who will be pivotal in guiding project delivery while fostering collaboration between clients and teams. This role requires a strategic mindset combined with strong technical expertise to drive innovative software solutions.

Responsibilities

• Act as the main point of contact for clients, ensuring project objectives are met successfully. Lead coding efforts (50-60%), project management (20-30%), and stakeholder engagement (20%). Champion best practices including clean coding, Test-Driven Development (TDD), pair programming, and design patterns. Oversee the software development lifecycle from ideation to production, delivering high-quality solutions. Advocate for continuous integration and delivery to provide value to customers promptly. Design effective solutions and select appropriate technologies, focusing on pragmatic trade-offs. Collaborate with team members to build features and ensure user experience (UX) standards are met. Engage actively in coding alongside developers and maintain hands-on involvement in projects. Promote and utilize DevSecOps tools and practices for efficient software deployment while emphasizing security in the development process.

Requirements

• Relevant technical degree in Computer Science or a related field. Proficient in Java and React with a solid understanding of Object-Oriented technology. Proven experience leading Agile or Lean software development teams. Familiarity with delivery methodologies such as TDD, continuous integration, and infrastructure automation. Knowledge of cloud services like AWS, Docker, or Kubernetes is an advantage. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence others and advocate for technical excellence. Capability to develop and implement a technical vision aligning software solutions with business objectives. Experience mentoring peers and inspiring teamwork to achieve significant outcomes. Ability to navigate ambiguous situations and solve challenges from diverse perspectives.
