Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Lead Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and support secure, scalable, and highly available cloud infrastructure solutions. This role will provide technical leadership across cloud initiatives, working closely with architects, project teams, and stakeholders to deliver enterprise-grade cloud platforms. The successful candidate will have strong expertise in Microsoft Azure, infrastructure automation, hybrid cloud environments, and cloud operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, implementation, and management of enterprise cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure.
- Build and maintain secure, scalable, resilient, and high-performing cloud environments.
- Develop and implement cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, ARM Templates, or Bicep.
- Deploy, configure, and manage Azure services including Virtual Machines, Virtual Networks, Storage, Load Balancers, Azure Firewall, VPN Gateway, Application Gateway, and Azure Monitor.
- Support hybrid cloud environments and Azure Stack deployments where required.
- Implement cloud security best practices, governance, identity management, backup, disaster recovery, and compliance controls.
- Monitor cloud environments, troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues, and optimize system performance and costs.
- Collaborate with solution architects and application teams to support cloud migrations and modernization initiatives.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate cloud deployments.
- Lead incident resolution, root cause analysis, and continuous service improvements.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to cloud engineers and project teams.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and architecture diagrams.
- Stay current with emerging cloud technologies and recommend improvements to cloud platforms and operational processes.
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 7–10 years of experience in IT infrastructure, with at least 5 years focused on Microsoft Azure.
- Strong hands-on experience designing and managing enterprise Azure environments.

- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM Templates, or Bicep).
- Experience with automation using PowerShell, Azure CLI, or scripting languages.
- Knowledge of Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Docker, and container platforms is advantageous.
- Experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or other CI/CD platforms.
- Strong understanding of cloud networking, identity and access management, disaster recovery, and security best practices.
- Experience supporting enterprise-scale cloud environments with high availability requirements.
- Familiarity with Azure Stack, VMware, or hybrid cloud solutions is an advantage.
- Exposure to AWS or Google Cloud Platform is beneficial.

- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate
- Terraform Associate Certification (preferred)
