Lead Automation Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Ship Management Systems (SMS).
• Perform system architecture and integration with third-party systems.
• Lead and support FAT, STW, and HAT testing phases.
• Handle software configuration management, technical documentation, and troubleshooting.
• Manage hardware/software maintenance and ensure system operability throughout vessel life cycle.
• Coordinate with customers, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams.

Requirements:

• Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Computer, or related Engineering.
• 5 years experience in system design, architecture, and maintenance.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
• Excellent communication abilities for liaising with clients and stakeholders.
• Able to work independently under pressure and lead small teams.
• PLC programming and SCADA software proficiency.
• Strong understanding of control & instrumentation, control system design, and networking/cybersecurity concepts.
• Familiar with industrial protocols (Modbus RTU/TCP, RS422/485, NMEA, CANbus J1939).
• Advantageous:
  • Knowledge of marine classification codes/regulations.
  • Experience with Python, JSON, RESTful APIs, machine learning, and data analytics.
