Job Summary
Responsible for maintaining high standards of washing and finishing of all linen and guest laundry.
Tasks/Responsibilities:
- Good knowledge of handling all the laundry equipment and chemicals used in the Laundry Room.
- Report any breakdown of equipment and ensure they are in working condition within the shortest time possible. Report to the supervisor any breakdown that cannot be rectified during a reasonable time limit that can affect the operation.
- Ensure hotel linen and employee uniforms are in good condition.
- Ensure sufficient linen is available for the day's operation.
- Collect Guest laundry/Dry cleaning from rooms, cleaned and delivered according to the stipulated Standard operating Procedures.
- Assist in reviewing linen inventory.
- Maintain logbook effectively.
- Relate daily to the laundry supervisor any problems that occurred whilst working.
- Assist in housekeeping runner duties.
- Support and contribute to COMO's sustainability goals by implementing environmentally responsible practices within your roles and departments.
