Job Description

Brief Summary

Join a dynamic team as a Laser Application Engineer, where you'll be instrumental in the setup and operation of advanced laser depaneling technology. This role offers opportunities for hands-on experience and professional growth.

Responsibilities

  • Install and align laser units on advanced depaneling machines. Configure machines per internal standards and customer needs, including camera calibration and software debugging. Execute health checks on incoming laser units and collaborate with vendors to address defects or delivery challenges. Keep detailed records of installed laser parts and optical components. Assist with laser processing experiments, including trials and evaluation of processed samples. Troubleshoot laser-related issues on deployed machines once proficient. Conduct customer training and demonstrations on machine operations and process parameters. Collaborate with design teams and vendors to create tailored solutions for customers. May involve occasional overseas travel (up to 5%).

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Engineering. Strong interest in machinery and technology. A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience preferred. Knowledge of optics and lasers is advantageous. Laser license is beneficial. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
