What The Role Is
We are looking for a driven and experienced Land Surveyor to join HDB. This role is ideal for individuals who can apply their technical expertise in land surveying to support the growing needs of HDB's building and infrastructure developments. You will play a key role in integrating advanced surveying technologies into these projects, enhancing the delivery and execution of HDB's housing, infrastructure, and estate development initiatives.
What You Will Be Working On
- Manage and supervise land survey works undertaken by the Registered Surveyors appointed by HDB, including site inspections and checks to ensure quality and adequacy of works.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and planners to resolve technical issues relating to the land surveys and integrate survey data into project workflows.
- Resolve complex survey disputes between different surveyors, contractors, or other parties in an effective acceptable manner, while ensuring alignment with statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Liaise with agencies and regulatory authorities to resolve issues and expedite approval of cadastral surveys to ensure that development project timelines are met.
- Lead and execute pilot projects related to geomatics and land surveys, including the use of advanced technologies such as 3D LiDAR, GNSS, RTK systems, and geomatics data collection tools.
- Oversee the development, testing, and implementation of new surveying methods and technologies, ensuring continuous improvement in survey practices.
- Maintain comprehensive records of survey activities, including progress reports, quality checks, and contract-related documentation. Prepare regular reports and updates for internal and external stakeholders.
What We Are Looking For
- Good background in Land Surveying, Geomatics Engineering, Geodesy or in a geospatial-related field with 2-4 years of relevant work experience in fieldwork, data collection, and analysis.
- Knowledge of survey practices and proficiency in using essential surveying instruments (Robotics Total Stations, GNSS systems, and 3D LiDAR scanners) and survey data processing software (e.g., AutoCAD, GIS, BIM). Familiarity with cadastral surveys, engineering surveys and 3D LiDAR processing is advantageous.
- Strong problem-solving skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
