Job Description
The Department of Microbiology & Immunology, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore, is seeking a
Lab Technologist to support teaching, laboratory safety, core facility operations, and PI lab management.
Key Responsibilities
- Support laboratory practical classes and invigilation duties
- Prepare practical materials, assist with lab set-up and clean-up
- Support lab safety management, safety certification audits, inspections, and safety events
- Assist with daily operations, maintenance, and upkeep of laboratories and core facilities
- Maintain equipment inventory, basic equipment tracking, procurement, and vendor coordination
- Process financial documents, claims, and related administrative tasks
- Support PI lab operations, grant management, procurement, and equipment maintenance
Qualifications
- Diploma in Life Science or equivalent
- 2–3 years of relevant working experience
- Knowledge of laboratory safety management will be an advantage
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- A good team player who can also work independently
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities
