About the Role

Hummingbird Bioscience is seeking a Laboratory Technician to support our antibody development activities. The role includes the maintenance of laboratory operations. The successful applicant will join a fast-paced team and contribute to a cutting-edge technology platform, with ample opportunity to grow within the company. This is a permanent role for the right candidate.

Key responsibilities will include (but not limited to):

• Perform routine laboratory cleaning to maintain equipment and work areas
• Clean and sterilize laboratory glassware and ensure sufficient supply for individual laboratories
• Collect laboratory waste and liaise with third parties for its removal
• Track laboratory consumable stock levels and maintain sufficient supplies for daily operations
• Perform other ad hoc duties as required to ensure smooth laboratory operations

Qualifications:

• Nitec/Higher Nitec or Diploma in Life Sciences
  

Technical skills:

• At least 1 year of relevant experience working in a laboratory
• Experience in laboratory operations and maintenance
• Proactive, self-motivated, able to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team environment
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Basic knowledge of MS Office applications
