Laboratory Technician (Chemical)

On behalf of our client, a leading German multinational company specializing in adhesive products, we are seeking qualified candidates to fill the following position at their state-of-the-art development laboratory in Singapore.

Laboratory Technician (Chemical)

Position Overview:

Reporting to Head of Technology Development, you will support the development of materials, technology modules, products, processes and methods by performing routine laboratory tasks and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

. Contribute to development of materials, technology modules, products, processes and methods within the framework of feasibility studies, business cases and/or projects on an operational level, incl. raw material supply and inventory, experimental work as well as planning and execution of lab or pilot trials.

. Continuously ensure the maintenance and improvement of lab procedures, incl. documentation and lab-specific training.

. Contribute to invention disclosures.

. Maintain internal networks, with the focus on operational aspects.

. Technical guidance and training of apprentices, students and new hires regarding lab procedures.

Requirements:

. Diploma in chemistry or chemical engineering or comparable field with3 years of work experience in chemical labs (preferably in clean room environment).

. Familiar with chemical mixing, coating and testing of new formulations.

. Proven hands-on mentality with good technical comprehension and a strong foundation in scientific principles.

. Keeps detailed records of experiments with a keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy in performing experiments and analyzing results.

. Be proficient in using laboratory equipment, maintain an organized laboratory environment and manage lab inventory.

. Communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
