Job Description
Supports the laboratory technical staff in the areas of specimen processing, and procurement and may perform lab testing under the direct supervision of medical technologists.
- Follow all laboratory protocols and policies in checking specimens (e.g. COVID, blood, stool, urine, etc) received & make sure that names tally with the request forms for testing.
- Follow test requirements of reference laboratory & procure appropriate specimens for testing.
- Perform barcoding samples & process laboratory specimens received from patients under prescribed laboratory guidelines.
- Utilizes centrifuges & other lab equipment to process specimens & prepares them for testing.
- Receives requested stock items & distributes them to the appropriate place within the laboratory.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum N-Level
- Relevant work experience in a medical laboratory environment. (Candidates without experience are welcome to apply)
- Able to start work immediately.
- Able to work 5.5 days/week + Rotational shifts (Including weekends and rostered PH).
- Responsible team player with a positive work attitude & supportive of operational needs.
