Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities
- To provide technical support for Laboratory Class Experiments.
- To provide technical support to undergraduate/postgraduate projects.
- Performing other tasks/assignments assigned by laboratory supervisors.
- Involved in the daily operations, maintenance and upkeep of the laboratories and teaching facilities.
- Assist in laboratory procurement and vendor engagement.
- Processing financial documents; submission of claims.
- Maintain laboratory equipment inventory.
- Assist in the lab safety management system and safety certification audit.
- Assist undergraduate students, MSc and PhD students, intern students, outreach students for their design projects including design and minor fabrication.
Qualifications
Job Requirements (Please state Qualification, Years of Experience, Knowledge & Skills required.)
- Diploma holder in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
- Possess good oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- A good team player and able to work independently.
- Desire to learn new skills as well as take on new responsibilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, e.g. Microsoft Office Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of laboratory safety management will be an advantage.
- Knowledge/skill on 3D printing and some electronics knowledge will be advantage.
- Background knowledge in machining and computers/workstations is an advantage.
