Job Summary:
The Lab Technician is responsible for performing routine laboratory testing, preparing samples and reagents, maintaining laboratory equipment, recording test results, and ensuring laboratory activities are carried out safely and accurately in accordance with approved procedures and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine laboratory tests and analyses according to SOPs and established methods.
- Collect, prepare, label, store, and dispose of samples appropriately.
- Record test results accurately and maintain complete laboratory documentation.
- Identify and report abnormal results, equipment issues, or deviations to the supervisor.
- Maintain laboratory cleanliness, organization, and inventory of chemicals and consumables.
- Follow laboratory safety procedures, PPE requirements, and chemical handling guidelines.
- Perform other laboratory-related duties assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Able to read, write and understand English.
- Basic knowledge of laboratory techniques, chemical handling, and laboratory safety.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Able to follow SOPs and work accurately with minimal supervision.
