The MGI Singapore CEC is the strategic epicenter for genomics innovation in the APAC region. We are a collaborative hub where we partner with the region's top scientific minds, from leading academic medical centers to national-level government research agencies.

What You Will Do

1.Scientific Project Execution:

  • Perform hands-on lab work for in-house projects, including library preparation and sequencing.
  • Execute Technology Demonstrations and Pilot Projects for high-value commercial prospects.
  • Conduct cutting-edge spatial transcriptomics workflow.

2.World-Class Lab Operations:

  • Manage day-to-day lab operations, including the inventory system, reagent ordering, and equipment maintenance.
  • Draft, maintain, and ensure compliance with all laboratory Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Serve as the primary technical expert for all CEC instrumentation, ensuring constant readiness and uptime.

3.Customer Experience & Collaboration:

  • Act as the expert technical host for our Customer Experience program, guiding customers as they use our equipment in the CEC.
  • Collaborate with the Field Application Scientist (FAS) team during in-lab customer trainings and workshops.

4.New Product Commercialization:

  • Act as the primary hands-on user for the validation of new products, reagents, and software for the regional market, generating critical data for our go-to-market strategy.

What We Are Looking For

Required:

  • Background in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Biomedicine, Engineering or similar.
  • Minimum 2 years hands-on experience in a molecular biology laboratory.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, with a strong sense of ownership and a proactive problem-solving mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

Preferred (Nice-to-Have):

  • Hands-on experience with Spatial Genomics or Single-Cell RNA-Seq technologies.
  • Experience with Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) workflows, especially library preparation.
  • Experience with histology (sectioning, staining) lab protocols.
  • Experience in a customer-facing or support role (e.g., FAS, Core Lab).
  • Experience in writing and maintaining laboratory SOPs.
