This role is responsible for leading the establishment, implementation, and continuous improvement of governance, documentation, and compliance processes across all laboratories within the organization, with emphasis on chemical and regulated lab environments.
The position partners closely with lab personnel and cross-functional stakeholders to drive structured, standardized, and scalable lab processes covering both daily operations and projects, ensuring strong governance, traceability, and accountability.

Responsibilities and Duties
1. Lab Process Leadership & Standardization
- Lead the development, structuring, and standardization of lab processes across all laboratories, including:
- Daily operations
- Testing workflows (including chemical lab processes where applicable)
- Sample handling, tracking, and chain of custody
- Equipment usage, calibration, and maintenance processes
- Project execution and coordination within labs
- Ensure processes are scalable, practical, and consistently applied across labs
- Drive alignment and adoption of standardized practices across different lab functions
2. Documentation Governance & Traceability
- Establish and enforce robust document control and governance standards across labs
- Oversee development and maintenance of controlled documents, including:
- Work instructions
- Forms and records
- Process workflows
- Ensure end-to-end traceability of lab activities, especially for regulated and chemical processes
- Ensure proper version control, document lifecycle management, and access control
3. Governance & Compliance Management
- Define and implement governance frameworks for lab operations and projects
- Ensure compliance with internal standards and relevant regulatory or industry requirements
- Act as the central authority for lab governance and documentation practices
- Provide guidance and decision-making support on governance-related matters
4. Monitoring & Auditing
- Plan and lead periodic audits covering:
- Process adherence
- Documentation completeness and integrity
- Traceability and record accuracy
- Identify systemic gaps and drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
- Ensure closure and sustainability of improvement actions
5. Continuous Improvement & Optimization
- Lead identification of inefficiencies and gaps in lab workflows and documentation
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance:
- Operational efficiency
- Process clarity
- Governance effectiveness
- Balance simplification of processes with compliance and control requirements
6. Cross-Functional Leadership & Collaboration
- Influence and drive alignment across teams and stakeholders
- Facilitate collaboration to ensure successful implementation of governance initiatives
- Support change management and adoption of new processes
7. Other Duties
