We are seeking an L2 Unix Engineer to join Servers & Systems Operations team. The role involves monitoring, troubleshooting, and supporting Unix-based systems with a strong focus on Nutanix hyperconverged infrastructure in a Command Centre environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 24x7 operational support for Unix servers and Nutanix systems.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents within SLAs.
- Escalate complex issues to L3 teams where required.
- Perform system health checks, patching, and routine maintenance.
- Maintain accurate documentation of incidents, changes, and solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system reliability and performance.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of IT experience, including at least 1 year in a Command Centre or similar operations role.
- Hands-on experience with Unix/Linux administration.
- Practical knowledge of Nutanix infrastructure on Unix/Linux platforms.
- CompTIA A+ (or equivalent) certification required.
- ITIL v3 Foundation certification required.
- Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in virtualization and hyperconverged environments.
- Knowledge of shell scripting for automation.
- Exposure to backup, monitoring, and system recovery tools.
