Experience: 3–5 years MS SQL administration
Job Overview:Administer MS SQL 2019 estatesacross DEV/UAT/Staging/PROD/DR including backup, patching, tuning, and DR readiness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Backup/restore execution and periodic restoredrills.
- Always On/replication monitoring; DR drill activities.
- Performance tuning, index/statistics maintenance, blocking/deadlock analysis.
- DB patching per policy; VA closure for databases.
- User access management with periodic review;license compliance.
- Deployment of databasescripts during releases;housekeeping and archivaljobs.
- Prepare operational reports, capacity/utilization inputsand service metrics.
- Ensure SLA compliance, audit readiness and RBI/security policyadherence.
- Maintain SOPs, runbooks, KB articles and operational documentation.
- Coordinate with OEMs/vendors and internal teams for issueresolution.
- Support DR drills, patching,vulnerability remediation and preventive maintenance.
- Participate in RCA preparation for Priority incidents.
- Follow Incident,Problem, Change and Service RequestManagement processes.
Technical Skills:MS SQL 2019, Always On AG, SSMS, T-SQL, backuptooling, performance tuning. Certifications: Preferred: Microsoft DP-300.
Coverage Model:9×6 with escalation support.
