Job Summary
Provide advanced technical support and management for Check Point, FortiGate, and Cisco firewalls to ensure network security, performance, and compliance within service level agreements.
Responsibilities
- Provide L2/3 technical support for Check Point, FortiGate, and Cisco firewall products to resolve security and connectivity issues
- Monitor firewall health, analyze logs, and respond to security alerts to maintain network integrity
- Troubleshoot network and firewall issues including VPN connectivity and performance to ensure continuous service availability
- Manage firewall policies by creating, modifying, and cleaning up rules to optimize security posture
- Support site-to-site and remote access VPN configurations and maintenance for secure communications
- Handle incidents, service requests, and changes within defined SLA to maintain operational efficiency
- Perform daily system checks including logs, backups, and interface status to ensure system reliability
- Follow change management and security compliance processes to uphold organizational standards
- Collaborate with L1 and L2 support teams to resolve complex technical issues effectively
- Assist in firewall deployments, migrations, upgrades, patching, and enhancements to improve infrastructure
- Participate in rule optimization and cleanup activities to enhance firewall performance
- Support disaster recovery testing and onboarding of new sites to ensure business continuity
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Possess at least one certification related to Check Point, FortiGate, or Cisco firewall products to demonstrate technical proficiency
- Demonstrate strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve complex network and firewall issues
- Exhibit vendor management skills to coordinate with external suppliers and service providers
- Willingness to work outside regular office hours to meet operational demands and support critical incidents
- Ability to manage operations and project tasks related to firewall products effectively
