Job Summary
Provide IT support and maintenance for hardware, software, servers, and network infrastructure, ensuring system reliability and security. Assist with implementations, user training, and participate in standby support outside normal hours.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, system, server, and network infrastructure issues to maintain operational stability
- Perform routine IT operations including system monitoring, patching, backups, health checks, and tape rotation in data centres
- Support and maintain servers, network devices, firewalls, and security systems, including administering basic Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls
- Assist with system implementations, upgrades, and create/update documentation such as Method of Procedures (MOPs)
- Provide user support, training, and guidance on IT systems and best practices to enhance user competence
- Participate in rotational standby support and respond to operational needs during weekends, public holidays, and after office hours
- Work independently and collaboratively within a team to meet IT operational goals
Required competencies and certifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in IT support, IT operations, infrastructure maintenance, or related field
- Valid Class 3 license
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Knowledge of Windows environments, basic server administration, networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi), backup and recovery processes, and IT security fundamentals
- Familiarity with troubleshooting end-user devices, servers, systems, and network infrastructure
- Basic knowledge of Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls
- Strong problem-solving, communication, documentation, and customer service skills
- Willingness to access data centres and work weekends, public holidays, after office hours, and on rotational standby duties when required
