Key Responsibilities
- Review onboarding and periodic reviews of high-risk clients to ensure compliance with Bank policies, procedures and MAS regulatory requirements.
- Conduct KYC/CDD assessments, including review of Source of Wealth (SOW) and Source of Funds (SOF) information and supporting documents.
- Identify and assess AML/CFT/PF, sanctions and reputational risks and escalate concerns where required.
- Prepare clear and accurate Compliance review reports and ensure all supporting evidence is properly documented.
- Provide KYC/CDD advisory to Business Units on AML/KYC, FATCA and CRS matters.
- Review and investigate unusual or suspicious activities identified during KYC reviews and support the reporting of suspicious transactions to the relevant authorities.
- Assist with AML reports, KYC review tracking, CDD trackers and transaction review reports.
- Support KYC/CDD briefing and training sessions for Business Units.
- Assist with audit requests, compliance reporting and ad hoc projects.
- Keep up to date with MAS regulations, AML/CFT requirements, sanctions, financial crime typologies and industry best practices.
- Identify opportunities to improve KYC/CDD processes and controls.
Requirements
- Recognised Degree or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 3 years experience in the financial services industry, including at least 2 years in AML/KYC/CDD.
- Good knowledge of MAS Notice 626 and related Guidelines, AML/CFT, sanctions and KYC/CDD requirements.
- ACAMS, ICA or other relevant compliance certification is an advantage.
- Experience in banking, private banking, wealth management or corporate banking will be an advantage.
