Summary


As a member of the KYC/AML Specialist team, you will serve as akey liaison between client relationship teams and AML Refresh Operations,ensuring end-to-end management of client periodic reviews forthe Private Banking and Private Wealth Management business line.

Responsibilities

. Periodic Reviews & Remediation: Manage the end-to-end Periodic KYC Review (PKR)lifecycle for high-risk and complex accounts. Address backlogs and volumesurges, drive targeted remediation exercises, and process trigger events incompliance with MAS and HKMA regulatory standards.

. Source of Wealth (SoW) & Risk Assessment: Analyze complex ownership structures (trusts,foundations, SPVs, and offshore entities). Evaluate and reconstruct historicalSource of Wealth (SoW) and Source of Funds (SoF) narratives, gathercorroborating documentary evidence, and draft clear risk-mitigation rationalefor Compliance approval.

. Front-Office & Stakeholder Liaison: Serve as a dedicated KYC Subject Matter Expert(SME) for Client Advisors (CAs) and Market Team Heads. Guide relationship teamsthrough CDD requirements, explain policy rationale, track pending

documentation,and resolve compliance escalations to ensure timely case closure.

. Screening & Due Diligence Validation: Perform Sanctions, PEP, and Adverse Mediascreening using industry tools (e.g., Factiva, LexisNexis). Validate incomingclient documentation for completeness and secure necessary sign-offs fromBusiness and Compliance stakeholders.

. Pipeline Tracking & Process Optimisation: Track and report on annual refresh populations andoutstanding remediation files in partnership with coverage teams. Identifyworkflow bottlenecks and recommend process improvements to enhance operationalefficiency, accuracy, and automation.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a banking / finance with a Minimum of 1 plus years of hands-on experience in KYC operations, specifically within Private Banking or Private Wealth Management
  • Strong KYC/AML expertise, with experience in AML CDD policy standards and industry practices in AML CDD
  • Excellent stakeholder management and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across teams and communicate with colleagues at various levels
  • Proficient in using KYC-related platforms and tools (e.g., CAWB, CBD, AppSuite, Cosima, Factiva, Lexis Nexis), with a strong willingness to adapt to new technologies and systems
  • Understanding of the operational aspects of products and services used by Banking clients
