We are hiring a Kubernetes Platform Engineer to join a highly technical infrastructure team within a global investment firm in Singapore.
This is a hands-on role focused primarily on designing, building and operating Kubernetes platforms. The team is continuing to move towards Infrastructure-as-Code and is looking for someone who can help develop the Kubernetes platform, improve the developer deployment experience and automate the underlying infrastructure around it.
What you will do
- Design, build and operate production Kubernetes platforms and clusters.
- Provision and manage Kubernetes infrastructure using Terraform / Infrastructure-as-Code.
- Build and maintain CI/CD and GitOps workflows that allow developers to deploy applications reliably.
- Develop and maintain Helm charts and Kubernetes YAML configurations.
- Manage Kubernetes upgrades, networking, storage, security and platform lifecycle.
- Troubleshoot Kubernetes clusters, nodes, workloads and production platform issues.
- Build automation and internal tooling using Python, Bash and/or Go.
- Improve platform observability using tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
- Work closely with developers to improve how applications are built, deployed and operated.
- Help evolve the underlying infrastructure architecture to better support the Kubernetes platform.
- Contribute to platform security, reliability, scalability and operational standards.
What we are looking for
- Strong hands-on experience building and operating Kubernetes platforms in production.
- Experience managing Kubernetes at the platform / cluster level, rather than only deploying applications onto existing clusters.
- Strong Terraform / Infrastructure-as-Code experience.
- Hands-on experience with Helm and Kubernetes YAML.
- Experience developing infrastructure automation using Python, Bash and/or Go.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD and modern software deployment practices.
- Experience troubleshooting production Kubernetes environments.
- Knowledge of Kubernetes networking, storage, security and observability.
- Solid Linux fundamentals.
Experience can come from either self-managed/on-premises Kubernetes environments or public-cloud platforms such as AWS EKS, Azure AKS or Google GKE.
This role would suit a Platform Engineer, Kubernetes Engineer or SRE whose recent experience has been heavily focused on building and operating Kubernetes platforms rather than broader general infrastructure administration.
