Job Description
Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated OpenShift Engineer (L1 Support) with 2–3 years of hands-on experience in OpenShift and container platforms. The role involves providing first-level support, monitoring, and operational maintenance of OpenShift environments, while continuously learning and supporting additional platforms integrated with OpenShift.
Key Responsibilities
Provide L1 support for OpenShift platform, including monitoring, incident response, and basic troubleshootingMonitor cluster health, workloads, and infrastructure using standard monitoring toolsPerform routine operational tasks such as:User access managementPod/application restartsLog analysis and basic issue diagnosisEscalate complex issues to L2/L3 teams with proper documentation and initial analysisSupport deployment activities and assist in CI/CD pipeline operationsMaintain system availability, performance, and reliability in line with SLAsWork with cross-functional teams (DevOps, Infra, Security) to resolve platform issuesCreate and maintain operational documentation, runbooks, and knowledge base articlesParticipate in incident management, problem management, and change management processesBe open to learning and supporting additional platforms/tools integrated with OpenShift
Required Skills & Experience
2–3 years of experience working with Red Hat OpenShift or Kubernetes platformsBasic understanding of:Containers (Docker/CRI-O)Kubernetes/OpenShift architectureLinux systems and command lineFamiliarity with monitoring/logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK)Understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, load balancing, ingress)Exposure to CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI) is a plusBasic scripting skills (Shell/Python) are advantageousStrong troubleshooting and analytical skillsFluent in spoken Mandarin (to liaise and communicate with Chinese‑speaking clients.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in banking or financial services environments (preferred but not mandatory)Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plusFamiliarity with ITIL processes (incident, problem, change management)
