About The Role

We are seeking a Korean-speaking Technical Project Manager who excels at building client relationships and driving successful technology engagements. This is a highly client-facing role that combines project delivery, solution consulting, and commercial engagement for AI-powered banking transformation initiatives.

You will act as a trusted advisor to enterprise banking clients, working closely with customers to understand their business challenges, shape AI-powered banking solutions, and ensure successful project delivery. Beyond project management, you will play an important role in supporting business development, identifying growth opportunities, and expanding strategic client relationships.

The ideal candidate is someone who is equally comfortable engaging with C-level stakeholders as they are coordinating engineering teams. You should possess a strong commercial mindset, excellent communication skills, and a passion for helping clients achieve business outcomes through technology.

Key Responsibilities

Client Relationship Management & Commercial Engagement

  • Serve as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor for enterprise banking clients throughout the engagement lifecycle.
  • Build strong, long-term relationships with executive stakeholders and become a strategic partner to customer organizations.
  • Lead client discovery sessions, business workshops, and solution discussions to understand business challenges and objectives.
  • Work closely with Sales and Business Development teams to support client meetings, presentations, solution demonstrations, and proposal development.
  • Identify opportunities to expand existing accounts by introducing new AI capabilities, banking solutions, and professional services.
  • Develop a deep understanding of client business priorities and proactively recommend value-added solutions.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction while driving account growth and long-term partnerships.

Project Delivery

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of AI-powered banking software development projects across the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, risks, resources, and dependencies.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including Product, Engineering, AI/ML, QA, UX, and Infrastructure.
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies and ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Provide regular executive updates, project governance, and risk management throughout the engagement.
  • Ensure seamless communication between technical teams and business stakeholders.

Solution Consulting

  • Translate business requirements into practical technology solutions in collaboration with engineering and product teams.
  • Advise clients on AI-powered banking solutions, digital transformation initiatives, and best practices.
  • Support solution architecture discussions and contribute to project scoping and implementation planning.
  • Partner with internal teams to ensure solutions align with both client expectations and business objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 8 years of project management experience, including at least 5 years leading enterprise software development projects within banking, fintech, or financial services.
  • Strong client-facing experience with proven ability to build trusted relationships, manage executive stakeholders, and drive customer success.
  • Commercially minded with experience supporting business development, presales, account growth, or solution consulting activities.
  • Excellent presentation, negotiation, and communication skills with confidence engaging senior business and technology leaders.
  • Proven ability to balance customer expectations, commercial objectives, and successful project delivery.
  • Strong understanding of Agile software development methodologies and SDLC.
  • Experience delivering digital banking, payments, lending, core banking, or enterprise financial technology projects.
  • Experience working with AI-powered applications, enterprise software, or digital transformation initiatives is highly desirable.

Language Requirement

Professional proficiency in Korean (spoken and written) is mandatory, as this role requires regular interaction with Korean-speaking clients, business users, and offshore development teams. The successful candidate will lead client workshops, facilitate business discussions, manage stakeholder communications, support presales activities, and ensure successful delivery of customer engagements. Professional proficiency in English is also required.
