Position: Sous Chef / Head Chef (Korean Cuisine)
Salary: Up to $4,500/month (negotiable)
Location: Beauty World
Working Days & Hours: 6 days/week - 10:00 AM to 10:30 PM with a 2-hour lunch break
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and present authentic Korean dishes to a consistently high standard, using traditional and modern techniques.
- Manage daily food preparation to ensure consistency, flavor, and presentation across all menu items.
- Source and liaise with suppliers maintain inventory and place ingredient orders to control cost and freshness.
- Design, update, and test menu items to keep offerings fresh, seasonal, and aligned with the restaurant's concept.
- Create and maintain kitchen SOPs train staff to follow recipes, portioning and plating standards.
- Supervise and coordinate the kitchen team, assign tasks, and monitor productivity and quality.
- Lead by example, communicate clearly, and foster a positive, disciplined kitchen environment.
- Troubleshoot operational issues quickly and professionally to minimize disruption.
- Ensure strict compliance with food safety, hygiene, and workplace health & safety regulations.
Requirements
3-5+ years experience in a Sous Chef or Head Chef role, preferably in Korean restaurant settings.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with experience training and managing kitchen staff.
- Good communication skills capable of coordinating with suppliers and front-of-house teams.
Korean language skills are an advantage for menu development and supplier coordination.
