Job Summary
We are a Korean Cuisine restaurant committed to delivering delicious food and exceptional service. We are seeking a skilled and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on and capable of preparing a variety of other dishes to maintain high standards of food quality and hygiene.
Responsibilities
- Prepare food items accurately based on custom requests from the menu to meet customer preferences
- Cook a variety of dishes, including fried chicken and other menu items, ensuring consistent quality and taste
- Monitor food stock levels and maintain supplies by placing timely orders to avoid shortages
- Suggest new recipes to refresh the menu and attract more customers
- Maintain grooming and appearance standards consistently to support a professional kitchen environment
- Prepare specific food items and meal components efficiently at your assigned station
- Collaborate with the culinary team to deliver high-quality food and excellent service
- Clean kitchen areas and equipment thoroughly before and after food service to maintain hygiene
- Conduct stocktaking and order supplies for your station to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Coordinate and cooperate with other kitchen staff to complete tasks effectively and on time
- Apply safety standards and comply with health, safety, and hygiene guidelines and regulations to ensure a safe work environment
- Regularly inspect safety equipment to confirm readiness for use
- Report any kitchen mishaps promptly to prevent hazards and maintain safety
- Improve food preparation methods by incorporating feedback to enhance quality and efficiency
- Perform general housekeeping duties to maintain cleanliness and order in the kitchen
- Assist the head chef in various kitchen tasks as required to support overall kitchen operations
