Job Description

  • Support the execution and food preparation in accordance to the Executive Chef's recipes and specifications.
  • Ability to execute different cooking methods, processes and techniques with a variety of ingredients and equipment.
  • Ensure the handling of raw ingredient is in line with food hygiene and safety guidelines
  • Support in the preparation of desserts such as, cakes, cookies, pies, bread, etc
  • Assist in decorating the pastries using different icings, toppings, to ensure they are aligned with Pastry Chef's direction.
  • Monitor kitchen ingredients and stocks and inform the kitchen team if orders needs to be placed.
  • Check the quality of material and condition of equipment and devices used for cooking.
  • Maintain a lean and orderly cooking station and adhere to health and safety standards.
  • Ensure the food preparation and handling is aligned with the food hygiene and standards guidelines set out by the restaurant
  • Any other duties as assigned by the management or your manager.

Requirements

  • Prior work experience in a Fine Dining restaurant
  • Familiar with basic cooking methods and techniques
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks assigned
