Job Description

Kitchen Cook

Work Schedule: 5-6 Days per Week

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook dishes according to recipes, quality standards, and presentation requirements.
  • Ensure all food is cooked properly and presented in an appealing and consistent manner.
  • Study recipes and prepare all necessary ingredients before food preparation.
  • Slice, dice, chop, and prepare raw ingredients efficiently and safely.
  • Delegate tasks to kitchen assistants and support staff when required.
  • Prepare a variety of local and Western cuisine, with preference given to candidates experienced in Chinese cuisine.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, equipment, and kitchen areas.
  • Monitor food quality, freshness, and portion control standards.
  • Ensure compliance with food hygiene, health, and workplace safety regulations.
  • Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure timely meal preparation and service.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Proven experience in preparing local and Western cuisine Chinese cuisine experience is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Good understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
